We have taken note of a letter purportedly written by Dr. Tonye Clinton Jaja, calling on Senator Godswill Akpabio to vacate his seat as the Senate President. We find this letter to be baseless and lacking in merit.
Firstly, there is no court ruling ordering Senator Akpabio to vacate his seat as Senate President, and Dr. Jaja’s letter fails to reference any such ruling. This omission raises serious questions about the motivations behind his call.
The Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has demonstrated remarkable capacity, capability, competence, charisma, sagacity, and dexterity in the discharge of his mandate as head of the Senate. His exemplary leadership of the Senate is top-notch and deserves celebration and appreciation from all.
Furthermore, we find it intriguing that Dr. Tonye Clinton Jaja, purporting to be a lawyer, academic doctor, and researcher, would pen a letter devoid of legal basis and factual accuracy. Given his claimed expertise, one would expect a more rigorous and well-reasoned argument. Instead, his letter appears to be driven by sentiment rather than substance, casting doubt on the efficacy of his assertions.
We view Dr. Jaja’s letter as a deliberate attempt to mislead and confuse the public. His actions appear to be driven by ulterior motives, rather than a genuine concern for the well-being of the Senate or the nation.
In light of this, we wish to state unequivocally that we will not stand idly by while our leaders are subjected to false propaganda and misguided narratives. We are resolute in our determination to counter such malicious attempts, uphold the truth, and defend the integrity of our leaders. We will continue to speak out against any efforts to undermine their mandate and legitimacy.
We urge the public to disregard this letter and instead focus on the many achievements of Senator Akpabio and the Senate under his leadership.
