The All Progressives Congress Media Network (APCMN) is compelled to address the recent attempts by Rt Hon Rotimi Amaechi to whip up sentiment against the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administration. His actions are a clear manifestation of desperation and a deep-seated grudge stemming from his resounding defeat at the hands of President Tinubu during the 2022 APC presidential primary election.
It’s ironic that Amaechi, who had 24 years to serve in power, now seeks to lecture on governance after being rejected by the APC. His track record is marred by allegations of misappropriating public funds for personal gain.
His futile collaboration with opposition parties during the general election proper only serves as further evidence of his lack of commitment to the APC’s ideals. Amaechi’s actions are driven by an insatiable hunger for power and an unjustified hatred for President Tinubu. Having been out of power since 2023, he is willing to do anything to regain his former influence. However, Nigerians will not be swayed by his incendiary rhetoric.
The APC remains confident in President Tinubu’s leadership and vision for Nigeria’s growth and development. We urge Nigerians to dismiss Amaechi’s baseless criticisms and continue to rally behind President Tinubu’s administration, which will soon yield tangible benefits and reforms that will positively impact the lives of Nigerians.
Moreover, if Amaechi’s schemes to become the presidential candidate of the opposition coalition come to fruition, we can assure Nigerans that he will meet the same fate as before – a resounding defeat at the hands of President Tinubu. The Nigerian people have reposed their trust in President Tinubu’s leadership, and no amount of scheming by Amaechi can change that.
To Rt Hon Rotimi Amaechi, we have a message: if you truly believe Nigerans should rise up against the APC administration, we urge you to set a good example by putting your family on the frontline. Bring out your children and loved ones to lead the charge, and perhaps Nigerans will take your calls for revolution more seriously.
