The All Progressives Congress Media Network strongly condemns the egregious actions of suspended Senator Akpoti Natasha, who invaded the National Assembly on the pretext of wanting to enforce a court judgment. This brazen display of lawlessness and disregard for the constitution is unacceptable and constitutes a direct challenge to the rule of law and the institutions of our democracy. Senator Akpoti Natasha’s actions demonstrate a clear disregard for the judicial process and the principles of democracy.
By invading the National Assembly, Senator Akpoti Natasha took the law into her own hands, demonstrating a flagrant disregard for the constitution and the rule of law. We call on her to respect the institutions of our democracy and seek redress through the appropriate channels. We note that there are established procedures and processes for enforcing court judgments, which Senator Akpoti Natasha chose to ignore. Having expressed dissatisfaction with the judgment, condemned it, and appealed it, she could not have reasonably expected it to be enforced.
Furthermore, assuming the judgment is still enforceable, we question whether Senator Akpoti Natasha has complied with the aspect of the judgment that ordered her to pay five million naira damages, render a public apology in two national newspapers, and on Facebook. Has she fulfilled these obligations? If not, her actions are nothing but a brazen attempt to selectively enforce a judgment that suits her interests while ignoring the parts that are unfavorable to her.
The All Progressives Congress Media Network demands an end to Senator Akpoti Natasha’s rascality, lawlessness, and irresponsibility. Her actions are an affront to the law and Nigerian democratic institutions, and she must be held accountable for her actions. Furthermore, her actions constitute a gross embarrassment to the legal profession, and we urge the Nigerian Bar Association to take immediate disciplinary action against her. As a lawyer, Senator Akpoti Natasha’s behavior falls woefully short of the standards expected of a legal practitioner and undermines the integrity of the profession.

We applaud his leadership and commitment to upholding the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
