This bold approach to governance has enabled the governor to directly interface with the people, briefing them on his administration’s initiatives, programs, projects, and achievements.
The recent Town Square Meeting in Uyo Federal Constituency, where 1,187 qualified indigenes were empowered with a total sum of ₦490 million, is a testament to Governor Eno’s commitment to people-centered governance. This initiative, which has successfully taken place in eight other federal constituencies, has not only fostered transparency and accountability but also demonstrated the governor’s dedication to the welfare and empowerment of Akwa Ibom people.
The impact of Governor Eno’s administration is evident in the numerous projects executed within the Uyo Federal Constituency. Within the past twelve months, no less than 116 projects, including roads, health centers, and compassionate homes, have been executed. These tangible achievements underscore the governor’s commitment to infrastructure development and improving the quality of life for Akwa Ibom citizens.
The governor’s commitment to participatory governance is further demonstrated by his utilization of the Town Square meetings to receive needs documents from the federal constituencies, ensuring their inclusion in the 2026 budget. This forward-thinking approach demonstrates Governor Eno’s dedication to inclusive development.
Governor Umo Eno’s initiatives are part of his administration’s deliberate effort to implement the ARISE Agenda, a comprehensive framework designed to propel Akwa Ibom’s socio-economic growth and transformation. Anchored on five key pillars – Agricultural Revolution, Rural Development, Infrastructure Maintenance and Advancement, Security Management, and Educational Advancement – the ARISE Agenda underscores the governor’s commitment to fostering a more vibrant, inclusive, diversified, and highly industrialized economy for Akwa Ibom.
By executing projects and programs aligned with the ARISE Agenda, Governor Eno is driving the state towards sustainable development and a brighter future for its citizens. The people of Akwa Ibom State have seen tangible results from his administration’s initiatives, and their appreciation for his leadership is evident in the widespread acclaim and support he enjoys.
