The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area has reaffirmed Kufre Okure as its political leader. The reaffirmation was announced by Senator Emmanuel Ibokessien at a party meeting held at the Ikot Ekpene Local Government Council Hall. The meeting also saw the reception of defectors into the party. Senator Ibokessien stated that the defectors are committed to consolidating and expanding the party, rather than disrupting its structure. He noted that Governor Umo Eno’s leadership has brought about significant progress in the state.
The State Chairman of the APC, Obong Stephen Ntukekpo, praised Kufre Okure’s leadership qualities and urged him to continue working towards the growth and development of the party in the local government. The Ikot Ekpene Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Aniefiok Nkom, pledged to work collaboratively with the party leadership and other stakeholders to advance the party’s agenda in the local government.
Kufre Okure, in his speech, expressed gratitude to the party leadership and stakeholders for reaffirming him as the leader of the APC in Ikot Ekpene. He called on all party members to support Governor Umo Eno, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Senator Godswill Akpabio. He assured that no member of the party would be discriminated against.
